INSTALLATION INSTRUCTIONS

Thank you for purchasing a quality Hellwig Product.

PLEASE READ THIS INSTRUCTION SHEET COMPLETELY BEFORE STARTING YOUR INSTALLATION

TORQUE TABLE

BOLT SIZE: 3/8” = 20-30 ft. lbs. – 7/16” = 35-45 ft. lbs. – ½” = 50-70 ft. lbs. – 9/16” = 70-90 ft. lbs.

SAFETY: BEFORE STARTING YOUR INSTALLATION, BE SURE TO SET PARKING BRAKE AND CHOCK TIRES.

NOTE: TO EASE INSTALLATION AND TO PROPERLY ADJUST BAR, THE WEIGHT OF THE VEHICLE MUST BE

ON THE SUSPENSION, AS IF DRIVING DOWN THE ROAD. DO NOT RAISE VEHICLE BY FRAME.

1. Remove the factory sway bar and end-links.

2. Locate the frame holes used for the factory end-links.

3. Install the frame brackets in the factory frame holes with the offset towards the inside of the vehicle.

4. Install the bushings and U-plates on the sway bar. Orient the sway bar with the hump down. Install sway bar assembly by

attaching the U-plates to the factory mounts located on the front of the axle. LEAVE LOOSE AT THIS TIME FOR

ADJUSTMENT LATER.

5. Install end-links supplied to the frame brackets. LEAVE LOOSE AT THIS TIME.

6. With end-links installed, rotate the arms of the sway bar up to meet the end-links and connect with hardware supplied.

7. With the sway bar loosely installed, center the sway bar under the chassis as best as possible.

8. When satisfied with fit and clearance of all components tighten all hardware to recommended specifications.

ATTENTION INSTALLER: PLEASE MAKE SURE CUSTOMER RECEIVES THIS INSTRUCTION SHEET,

ALL IMPORTANT NOTE CARDS, WARNING CARDS AND THE WARRANTY

FORM.
